Installing Sienna on Squarespace

Squarespace allows you to inject custom code into every page using its Code Injection feature. This is available on Business plans and above.

Note: Code Injection is not available on the Personal plan. You will need to upgrade to Business or Commerce to use custom scripts.

Step 1 — Log in to Your Squarespace Account

Go to squarespace.com and sign in to your account. From the Home Menu, select the site you want to add Sienna to.

Step 2 — Open Website Settings

In the left sidebar, click Settings (the gear icon near the bottom of the panel).

Step 3 — Navigate to Code Injection

Inside Settings, scroll down and click Advanced, then select Code Injection from the submenu.

You will see a Footer text field. This code runs on every page of your site. Copy and paste the Sienna script here.

  • Do not paste it in the Header field — the widget needs the page DOM to be fully loaded.
  • If you have a Pro license, you can add data-primary-color="#YOUR_COLOR" and data-icon="default" to match your brand.

Step 5 — Save and Preview

Click Save at the top right of the Code Injection page. Then open your site in a new tab or use Preview to confirm the accessibility button appears in the bottom-right corner.

Step 6 — Verify It’s Working

On your live site you should see the circular Sienna button. Click it to open the accessibility toolbar and verify the widget loads correctly.
